Health and Safety
Health and safety is TEG’s culture and it is our number one priority. We are fortunate to work with multinational corporations who have an expectation of a zero harm environment.
Our experience of dealing with complex, brown field environments means that we have exceptional skills in applying health and safety in an operational environment. This means our clients can be confident that TEG will deliver projects that will meet our clients demanding health and safety standards.
TEG has an outstanding safety record on the many hundreds of projects we have delivered for clients since 2005. Safety of our own personnel and the safety of contractors working on projects is paramount. Our health and safety record is exemplary with our team being LTI and SI free for over 3000 days.
In our role as project managers and engineers we are managing contractor activities on a daily basis using tools such as Contactor Accreditation, Job Safety Analysis, Spot Audits, Site Specific Safety Plans, Tool Box Meetings, Daily Safety Reports and Contractor Health & Safety Performance Review.
Our strong focus on hazard identification and risk assessment lead to the creation of TEG Risk and Sustainability Services in 2011. TEG Risk is a TEG division that provides specialist machine safety consulting and it has become one of the leading firms working in the machine safety area in Australia and NZ.
TEG Risk supports our TEG project managers to ensure that we are operating at best practice level Our TEG Risk consultants have achieved internationally recognised Certified Functional Safety Engineer status through TUV Sud which requires an engineering degree or equivalent and 3-5 years of functional safety experience. In addition all of our TEG project managers have received advanced machine safety training.
