Hamish is a health and safety professional with over fifteen years experience in senior health and safety roles within multinational corporations. He has an Environmental Engineering Degree, NEBOSH (level 6) Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and international functional safety certification with TUV Sud.

Following the completion of an Environmental Engineering degree Hamish held roles in Safety, Health and Environmental (SH&E) Management with Goodman Fielder for 4 years before relocating to the United Kingdom for eight years. In his role as the Safety Health and Environment Manager for International Flavours and Fragrances (IFF) in the UK he was responsible for a high hazard chemical plant and a flavours food factory.

This was a demanding role with a vast range of SH&E management issues and regulatory requirements to deal with, often of a technical nature and which could only allow for competent and pragmatic advice and solutions. This period was invaluable for developing process safety exposure where there was substantial HAZID, HAZOP,PHA and hazardous area classification requirements and best practice Environmental compliance and management work.

8 years of UK experience has given Hamish broad knowledge in international and world class practices and standards around Safety Health & Environmental management across a variety of sectors. Most importantly, for clients, Hamish is not a consultant by background, instead his experience has been as a hands on internal resource in the companies he has worked for, meaning he has been a key stakeholder having to live with the outcomes of his advice.
